Best accommodation on Mornington Peninsula
When it comes to the best accommodation on Mornington Peninsula, you cannot beat the Cape Schanck Lighthouse. Located on the southernmost point of the Peninsula, we offer four excellent accommodation options - one single bedroom cottage (sleeping 4), two three-bedroom cottages (both sleeping 8), and one motel-style room (sleeping 2).
Each of the cottages was once the residence of a lighthouse keeper - the Head Keeper's Cottage since 1859, the Museum Cottage since 1887, and the Red Cottage since 1929 - whilst the motel-style room was once used by the lighthouse inspector whenever he paid a visit. This room is located on the Head Keeper's Cottage verandah, but does have private access.
