How To Find Pet Friendly Accommodation In Flinders

27 February 2012, Posted by Tony Sheer

The family holiday can be one of the best times of the year for many families but, for others, it can feel too hard to leave the beloved family pet at home, in the care of friends, or in a kennel. On top of this, some pets can find it highly distressing to be separated from their owners and many people would find their holiday that much more enjoyable with their best friend there with them.

It is for this reason that choosing accommodation in Flinders is a fantastic option – many of the venues in the area will allow you to bring your pets with you! It is not generally recommended that guests bring their cats on holiday with them (as they are known to run away when moved), there is plenty of accommodation in Flinders that are open to visitors bringing along their dogs, and even your fish or pet guinea pig!

Unfortunately, this is not usually possible for patrons of motel or bed and breakfast accommodations, but pets are generally very welcome in holiday and beach houses. Start by doing an internet search for pet friendly accommodation in Flinders – sometimes the description doesn’t specify one way or the other, but it never hurts to check with the owner.

You should, however, keep in mind that you may be required to keep your pet outside when holiday in Flinders. Whilst some holiday homeowners are happy to let you bring your pet on your holiday, they have reservations about their furniture being chewed and animal fur being dropped all over the place. You will also need to run the type and breed of pet you are planning to bring with you in case the accommodation in Flinders is unsuitable for them.

Choose accommodation in Flinders for your next holiday if you want to bring the entire family with you – including your beloved family pet.
