Tim & Vicki Pierre-Humbert, Inspectors - 23 April 2014
"Heartbreakingly beautiful Views! Heartwarming accommodation _a slice of History appreciated by a couple who will return. Who would want to stay at a "resort" when this is what its all about. A step back in time. We saw the sunset by beautiful Cape Schanck Lighthouse, and were  up at 5am watching the morning kiss the ocean, as the white-washed sentinal kept us company. HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL."

"OutSide Light bulb needs replacing, We Loved the lighthouse - So beautiullly cared for- and the rocky wild coastline. The colours of the clouds last evening were subtle and t  softly grey and the air was crisp and smelt of the sea. This is aplace of stories."

" We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary. We go somewhere every year and this stay exceeded any previous. A peaceful, beautiful surrounding. I didn't think I cared too much for the lighthouse but ended up reading your information book from start to finish. Then despite the rain, we snuck out at midnight to see the lighthouse in action - Amazing!! A lovely stay - Thank you."
R Kemsley, Museum Cottage - 13 October 2012
" Loved the lighthouse, scenery walks and museum. Accommodation was comfortable and the heater warms both the bedroom and the lounge room on a chilly night making it nice and cosy."
Jackie Johnson, Park City, Utah - 10 October 2012
" This setting is fabulous - the view of the Cape and the boardwalk is a once in a lifetime experience (but hope I will see it again). The Red house is so charming and cozy with everything we could want in an adventure to Australia. Tony & Prue, I can't thank you enough for pointing us in this direction. It certainly was serendipitous to meet you at this momentin time and references my belief that the 'universe' is always speaking to us. Thank you for your hospitality and hats off to you and your wonderful team. We would also like to thank John for his five star tour of the lighthouse and excellent tips on the area. We hope to see you again!"

" Beautiful surroundings. Interesting museum and lovely tour guide (Mike) and tour of the lighthouse. The house is utterly charming, lovely atmosphere.  "
Peter & Helen Roberts, Museum Cottage - 23 November 2012
" All to often history is forgotten, everything is brushed over and 'blinged' up and before you know it the relatively unspoilt history, flora & fauna is ruined by inappropriate development and large numbers of people that don't care about the natural and historical environment. Please never let this happen to the natural environment of Cape Schanck or the historical precinct of the lighthouse. The essence and spirit of this place is priceless and intact. A wonderful place brimming with history that has made a lasting impression. We are coming back. Thanks again."
Paula Kendall, Inspectors Room - 25 November 2012
" It was really awsome to be here alone - the lighthouse was fantastic, tour great, museum excellent and inspectors room really comfy and well thought out - Thank you. Only small thing is we missed 'Homeland' as TV would only show SBS and a couple of other channels. Breakie provisions were really great & appreciated. "
Margot, Museum Cottage - 23 November 2012
" I like the way it has not been over renovated. It feels like the simple lifestyle suited to the original use of the house - but with comfort appropriate to today. Thank you! A great rest."
Gordan, Australia - 18 October 2012
" Inspectors room very clean and well set up. Ensuite is excellently presented. Some marmalade in the supply tray would be good and an electric blanket in winter would be great. Building and grounds in excellent condition. The  lighthouse tour was very informative."

Adele, Lighthouse Tour Wedding Proposal - 24 November 2012
" Hello my name is Adele
On the 24 November, after a surprise visit and private tour of the light house at Cape Schanck, my beautiful partner Paul proposed to me.
It was the most wonderful surprise and we could not be happier.
I would like to say thank you for making that beautiful afternoon possible. I know a bit of planning went into making it so wonderful.
Thanks again,
Josie Duncan, Museum Cottage - 05 January 2013

We Loved It.  My Husband Vic was born on Wilson"s Prom Lighthouse, so this was the perfect place to celebrate his 50th Birthday.

The Cottage was far more spacious than I had anticipated from the pictures on the Website, for all it's "Rustic Charm" it was far more equipped,  than more Modern places I have stayed in.  The lounge chairs were much more comfortable than they looked.

We so enjoyed looking at the stars last night and watching the lighthouse beam shooting out to the ocean very Dramatic.  And the seat at the lookout was the perfect place to watch the Sunset with our coffee.  Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Robert Corner, Inspectors Room - 22 December 2012

The Walk to Bushrangers Bay and along the Beach at Bushrangers Bay (as recommended by Tony and Prue) was fantastic in Every way.

The staff are very welcomong and informative

The room is very comfortable and includes all necessities

" The lady I spoke to on the phone in regard to my booking was extremely helpful. I am very grateful to her for assistance un regard to our stay. The staff at the kioisk and tour guide was also very informative and friendly. This place has been one of the highlights of our holiday to Victoria. The house is very comfortable and well equippedand cosy and warm at night. The walks in the area are spectacular and the track are well maintained. We only wish we were able to stay longer as the surrounding area offers much to see and do.  The promotion was a great idea and excellent value for money, the acc. thermal springs and lighthouse was a great experience. Thanks"

"Web site pictures do not do the cottage justice. The website photos need to be upgraded. I was very sceptical pre arrival but the cottage is beautiful. The Museum cottage has all the amenties you need. We had afantastic one night stay. The lighthouse is beautiful during the day and at night you are so close to it all. The stairs are lovely too. We would definitely stay again."

"A most impressive stay was had. The close personal input from all staffwas most positive. It was clearly understood that these people have areal passion for the continued operation of this light. Being , encouraged to view the light at night, to watch the amzing beams of light search out into the black night, was a great experience- one not to be missed. "

Pam Joseph, - - 23 February 2010
"This was the final night of our 3.5 month trip, and it was wonderful to have such a warm welcome, and then to have such privacy in a beautiful setting. The accommodation was very comfortable. After many weeks of living under canvas in our camper-trailer, the thick walls of the white house were a great respite from the weather. The night at Cape Schanck is amongst the highlights of this trip. The friendly, welcoming and informative staff members were a great asset! Thank you all. "
B & J Stoddard, - - 23 February 2010

Geraldine, - - 23 February 2010
"Fabulous wind swept isolated location, but still only 12 kilometers from “civilization’ if you need it. Phones don’t work here! Excellent-can’t get me! Make sure you do go out after dark and watch the light keeping silent vigil. Recommend to anyone that is “over” little boxes in the sky called hotel rooms. "
Pam, - - 28 March 2009
